1.3.2 Patch


The "patches" won't be longer posts, this will just have a list of changes

I released another patch along with this because I made some quick additions that I don't think will cause any issues.

Changes

  • Added an aerial kick that supersedes the drop kick in priority in the air. It has a better lower hitbox that is good at hitting enemies below you, but it lasts a bit shorter.
  •  Changed the way sound effects work in the game to better fit future sfx
    • Added a knockdown sound effect when you toss enemies into each other
  • Removed shadows generated by entities
  • Made it so the jump is variable according to how long the player holds down the jump button
  • Combos now do not reset to zero when you get hit, but it reduces the combo score by the amount after the slash. If the number left is zero or below you die
  • Added a fallback mechanism if knock back (kb) bodies get stuck and don't self delete
  • Changed how enemies navigate to make way for future movement patterns and increase performance
  • Made player hurtbox smaller
BUGS
  • I've noticed that when enemies are tossed into each other it produces too many kb bodies
